Come see Sol Neelman speek on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in Agate Hall! He’ll have his book there, too, available for purchase. You can also pick it up here. After the talk, we’ll regroup at Agate Alley at 9 p.m.

Sol Neelman, a journalism graduate from the University of Oregon (’94), is a failed athlete turned sports photographer living large in Portlandia. In 2007, he left his staff job at The Oregonian to pursue a life-long project documenting sports culture around the globe. Last summer, Kehrer Verlag in Heidelberg, Germany published his first book, “Weird Sports.” He has a new weekly photo column on Wired.com and is already busy working on his next book, cleverly titled “Weird Sports Vol. 2.”
